Inadine® Dressings – Product Description
Inadine® dressings are sterile, non-adherent wound dressings designed to help prevent and manage infection in a wide range of wounds. The dressing consists of a low-adherent knitted viscose fabric that is impregnated with 10% povidone-iodine (PVP-I), a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent effective against bacteria, fungi, viruses, and protozoa.
When the dressing comes into contact with wound exudate, the povidone-iodine is slowly released, providing continuous antimicrobial action at the wound site. This helps reduce the risk of infection while maintaining a moist wound environment that supports natural healing. The dressing is designed to minimise trauma to the wound and surrounding skin during removal.
Inadine® dressings are suitable for use on minor burns, cuts, abrasions, surgical wounds, ulcers, and infected or infection-prone wounds. The dressing changes colour from orange-brown to pale as the iodine is released, indicating when it may need to be replaced.
