ACTICOAT™ Flex 7 is an advanced antimicrobial wound dressing designed to help manage and protect a wide range of wounds while reducing the risk of infection. The dressing incorporates nanocrystalline silver technology, which provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against a wide range of wound pathogens, including bacteria commonly associated with wound infections.
The dressing is constructed from a highly flexible, conformable polyester mesh, allowing it to adapt closely to the wound surface and surrounding contours. This flexibility makes ACTICOAT Flex 7 particularly suitable for use on difficult anatomical areas, such as joints or irregular wound sites, while maintaining patient comfort and mobility.
ACTICOAT Flex 7 can provide sustained antimicrobial protection for up to 7 days, depending on wound conditions and clinical assessment. When moistened with sterile water, the silver within the dressing is activated to help create an antimicrobial barrier that helps reduce microbial colonisation within the dressing and support a cleaner wound environment.
